Update from Lynne Riley for Georgia

LYNNE RILEY SWORN INTO OFFICE

Dear Friends in Georgia House District 50,

On January 10, 2011, I was sworn into office to serve as the House District 50 Representative in the Georgia General Assembly.

It has been a privilege to serve the citizens of North Fulton for the past 6 years as Fulton County Commissioner for District 3. As Commissioner, I participated in many of the exciting changes that have occurred in North Fulton, none more important than the creation of the new cities of Sandy Springs, Johns Creek and Milton. As North Fulton's Commissioner, I assisted with the smooth transition of services from Fulton County to the new Cities, each of which has been a resounding success.

I had the honor to serve on two Georgia legislative advisory committees to study and make recommendations to improve government service delivery in North Fulton. In 2009, I served as Chair of the Milton County Legislators' Advisory Committee, where the committee provided analysis and advice to our delegation.

As your State Representative, I look forward to building on the work of these committees to pass laws to implement many of these recommendations. I will also focus my efforts on policies to improve our quality of life in areas like property tax reform, transportation, water and education.

Our community, our region and our state have many challenges ahead of us. I commit to you that I will work each and every day to make North Fulton a better place for our families, schools and businesses.

Please contact me at at any time.

Sincerely,

Representative Lynne Riley
House District 50 - Johns Creek, Fulton County
